Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Connect is designed for economic development teams, academia, not-for-profits and public & private business support agencies dedicated to innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Join Sandbox Centre on June 10th, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for a HYBRID collaboration session made to drive the growth of businesses in our region. Attend in person to network with others at the Sandbox Centre, or join the conversation online via Zoom. The collaborative network will have an opportunity to feature a success/opportunity/story from what's going on in your ecosystem, while learning from other's shared happenings.

This month, we're pleased to have Presenting Partner, RBC and Marjolaine Hudon, RBC Regional President, Personal & Commercial Banking, Ontario North and East. Marjolaine will provide a presentation inspired by an RBC report released on the future of the skilled trades, called Powering Up – Preparing Canada's Skilled Trades for a post-pandemic economy.

Following Marjolaine Hudon, the Founder of SpotApp from DMZ Innisfil, Daniel Copeland, will provide local insights on how supporting the skill trades is important to our local economy and addressing some of the challenges they have faced to support this growing sector.

Enjoying the collaboration?! Don't let the end of our meet-up be the end of your time with us! Guests who join in person are more than welcome to spend their day at the Sandbox digging into their own work or hangout and connect with others in the place to be.

An authentic leader who inspires others to be their very best, Marjolaine Hudon believes that creating meaningful connections with colleagues, clients and community is key. Since joining RBC, Marjolaine progressed through increasingly senior leadership roles. As Employee Ombudsman, she helped employees speak up and be heard. She dedicates her time to the CHEO Foundation and is chair of RBC Race for the Kids, benefitting CHEO youth mental health programs. She is on the National Arts Centre Foundation board. A mother of three daughters, both she and her husband John believe in giving back to their community.

Daniel Copeland

Daniel is the Co-Founder of Spotwork. Since his early teens he worked in a family run technology publishing business which was acquired in 2017. Daniel completed his undergrad with a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance specialization. After graduating, Daniel went on to law school and ended up as Crown Counsel at the Ministry of the Attorney General where he specialized in Community and Social Services. After exiting the government, Daniel went on to start his own law practice with a specialization in Legal Tech before starting Spotwork - the future of work.
